AI & RFP Analysis
Use AI to organize an RFP review—not to invent compliance.
Turn a long solicitation into a traceable review table, then check every important conclusion against the source.
COAIG editorialReviewed October 27, 2026
Educational content, not legal or procurement advice, and not an endorsement by any government agency. Solicitation documents and their amendments control.
Choose an appropriate document and tool
Start with a public solicitation. Do not upload restricted, confidential or controlled material unless your organization has authorized the particular tool and data handling. Public availability does not make every inference correct.
A practical prompt
Using only the supplied solicitation and amendments, list submission instructions, mandatory conditions, evaluation topics and delivery obligations. For each item provide the document name, section/page, exact supporting excerpt and an uncertainty note. Separate explicit requirements from your interpretation. If information is missing or conflicting, say so. Do not invent a requirement, citation or answer.
Verify the output
Open each cited passage. Confirm the requirement, context, amendment status and response deadline yourself. Check tables and scanned pages, where extraction can fail. Keep a human reviewer responsible for the final compliance matrix.
A fictional error to catch
An AI summary says “three references required,” but the cited paragraph requests three project examples and describes separate reference-contact fields. Treat those as distinct instructions until a source review resolves them. Do not let a confident summary replace the original language.
Your next action
Test the prompt on one public document and verify five important rows. Record incorrect citations, omissions and uncertainty. This evaluates the review process; it does not certify the proposal.
